Description OPENCOSS was a European large scale project dedicated to produce the first European-wide open safety certification platform: an Open Platform for EvolutioNary Certification Of Safety-critical Systems for the railway, avionics and automotive markets.
The project spanned different vertical markets for railway, avionics and automotive industries, and established an open-source safety certification infrastructure based on a compositional and evolutionary certification approach with the capability to reuse safety arguments, safety evidence, and contextual information about system components, making certification more cost-effective, precise, and scalable.
