Innovative LBS for social/public dimension
A consistent differentiator between INCLUSION and other existing solutions will be represented exactly by the implemented navigation functionalities, related to the use of future GNSS systems and their possible integration. For this purpose, ground-based infrastructures devoted to positioning augmentation will be adopted, including ‘EGNOS inside’ capabilities.

Context Aware Mobility Platform
Objective of the CAMP project is to improve the public tran sport network, especially in areas with strong turistic flows, through the integration of telematic infrastuctures (City-wide Wi-Fi, etc.) to provide IP connectivity services, (ticketing, accommodation booking, etc.) e-Tourism/e-Mobility (e.g: road indications, user profiles and preferences), advertising. Heterogeneous technologies (e.g.: phone call, messaging, mobile navigation) are included on the basis of the involved actor context

A Pervasive and Heterogeneous Infrastructure to control Urban Mobility in Real-Time
The IPERMOB project has the goal of designing and implementing a urban-scale Intelligent Transportation System (ITS), using low-cost innovative technologies. The architecture of the ITS consists of three tiers to keep the following issues well separated: data collection and aggregation; data publication; services.

Independent Embedded Bike Sharing

A bike-sharing system is a sustainable mobility tool used by public administration as:
Building the Environment for the Things as a Service
in BETaaS a platform will be developed for the execution of M2M applications built on top of services deployed in a “local cloud” of gateways. Scalability, security, dependability, context- and resource-awareness, and QoS will be embedded “by design” into the platform. Validation will be done through experiments targeting the Smart City and Home Automation use cases.
Intelligent Cooperative Sensing for Improved traffic efficiency
In the ICSI project we will define a new architecture to enable cooperative sensing in intelligent transportation systems (ITS) and develop a reference end-to-end implementation. The project results will enable advanced traffic and travel management strategies, based on reliable and real-time input data. The effectiveness of such new strategies, together with the proposed system, will be assessed in two field operational tests (FOTs) according to the methodology FESTA. The two FOTs will be located in Lisbon, in an extra-urban highway mobility environment, and in Pisa, in a smart urban mobility context.

Mobile Opportunistic Traffic Offloading
The MOTO project proposes to design, dimension, implement, and evaluate a new network architecture in support of dynamic traffic offloading strategies to relieve a congested 4G/LTE network, in order to support the booming demand in mobile 4G data services. Going far beyond present infrastructure based offloading approaches, MOTO explores an additional layer of disruptive offloading protocols that make use of direct terminal-to-terminal communications.

Sicurezza ferroviaria e Infrastruttura per la Mobilità applicate ai Passaggi a Livello
The project SIMPLE (Sicurezza ferroviaria e Infrastruttura per la Mobilità applicate ai Passaggi a LivEllo) is placed into the category that pertains to the "Districts Regional Technology", in particular "District for rail technology, high speed network security." Objective of the project is the integration of technologies and services belonging to different sectors (rail, urban mobility). SIMPLE allows you to create synergies, at regional level, between the railway and other production systems, such as computer systems and advanced communications.

SEMEiotic Oriented Technology for Individual’s CardiOmetabolic risk self-assessmeNt and Self-monitoring
The key idea in SEMEOTICON’S is to exploit human face as a major indicator of individual’s health status. The application field is the prevention of cardio-metabolic risk, for which healthcare systems are registering an exponential growth of social costs. According to semeiotics viewpoint, face signs are mapped to measures and computational descriptors and, to this end, addresses a multisensory system integrated into a hardware platform (Wize Mirror) having the exterior aspect of a mirror. Thus it easily fits at users’ home or in other sites of their daily life (e.g. fitness and nutritional centres, pharmacies, schools and so on).
